The Role
We are seeking a Leading Hand with experience in mechanical and hydraulic systems who want to lead a great team of Technicians in the diagnostics, service, repair, and installation of client specific equipment. Working out of a state-of-the-art facility, the Leading Hand will be mentoring and supervising a close-knit team with opportunities to develop their career further within a supportive and collaborative culture. Responsibilities:
- Ensuring a safe working environment and that the team are adhering to Company policies and procedures
- Providing guidance and supervision to Workshop and Field Technicians
- Servicing and maintaining our range of refuse machines, sweeper products vacuum machines and static compaction equipment primarily in our workshop or on our customers' sites as required
- Diagnosing and repairing faults and undertaking modifications on our customers' equipment ensuring that all issues are identified and repaired to customer satisfaction.
- Completing accurate and timely administrative records of work undertaken
Requirements:
- Expertise in technical and mechanical techniques and procedures to effectively support completion of work in the workshop and field environment.
- Relevant Trade qualification (Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Mechanical Fitter etc)
- Ability to understand schematics both hydraulic and electrical
- Knowledge and experience with electrical/hydraulic/pneumatics
- Skills in fault diagnosis and field work
- Advanced welding skills (Mig, Tig, Stick)
- Current Drivers Licence
