About the role - Carmel College is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic educator with the ability to lead others in the area of Learning Enhancement. This is a full-time continuing teaching appointment, with an initial appointment as Middle Leader to the end of 2026. Two subsequent three-year appointments as Middle Leader will be offered following a successful performance review.
This a Tier 4 role under the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement for Diocesan Schools Queensland. The Tier 4 Leader Learning Enhancement is an integral member of the Learning & Teaching Leader group and College Middle Leadership Team. An ability to teach Religious Education would be highly advantageous. More information about this Middle Leader role is available in the attached Duty Statement.
About you - To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience, as well as:
- Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
- Commitment to child safety
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organisational skills
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
- Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.
