About the position
The primary position of the Learning and Development Manager is pivotal in driving organisational success through strategic learning initiatives. This role encompasses the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive training programs that align with the company's strategic objectives and support employee development. The Learning and Development Manager plays a crucial role in identifying training needs, developing learning strategies, and evaluating program effectiveness to ensure that employees have the knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles.
This Learning & Development Manager is responsible for:
- Collaborating with department heads to identify training needs and develop learning objectives.
- Working with the L&D team to identify gaps, needs, implementation and evaluation.
- Designing and implementing engaging and effective learning programs, including e-learning modules, workshops, and on-the-job training.
- Developing and maintaining a learning management system (LMS) to track training progress and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Coordinating with external training providers and subject matter experts to deliver specialised training programs.
- Evaluating training outcomes and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Developing and managing the training budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of program
Essential
- Preferably hold an L&D qualification. Certified Professional Learning and Performance (CPLP) or
similar certification. - Proven experience (5 to 10 years) in a senior role of L&D management.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning
technologies. - Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives
simultaneously. - Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this position you must be:
- An Australian Citizen
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance (NV1)
The successful candidate MUST be able to obtain clearance prior to commencement.
