Reporting to our Head of Human Resources, and based in our new Ingleburn site, the standalone Learning & Development Manager plays a pivotal role at Number 1. The focus will be to grow and upskill, supporting Number 1’s passionate team through engaging learning and development plans, whilst ensuring we remain at the forefront of L&D initiatives including the use of AI.
THE ROLE
- Reviewing and updating content of our existing LMS courses, keeping them engaging and informative
- Working closely with experts in subject matters to develop and write new training content
- Deploying new modules and courses to employees, monitoring the useage and completion
- Providing one-on-one training sessions with staff
- Deliver face-to-face, interactive, and engaging training sessions
- Develop a learning strategy that aligns with the companys’ values and business plans
- Incoroporate the use of new AI to increase efficiencies
- Coordinating training, qualification and licencing requirements (e.g First Aid, Fire Warden, Apprenticeships etc)
- Coordinate and deliver induction programs for new employees
- Conducting skills assessment and gap analysis with employees and their Managers
- Developing training and development plans for roles, partnering with HR to develop succession planning
- Monitoring and working within the L&D budget, ensuring delivery within budget
- Sourcing training suppliers and reviewing the quality of the training provided
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years’ experience in a Learning & Development role
- 3+ years’ experience with developing learning modules
- Min Cert IV Training & Assessment
- Exceptional, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with AI, delivering training modules on efficient use
- Experience working with eLearning platforms

- Experience within the pet industry
