We are seeking a motivated and highly skilled educator to join the Learning Enhancement & Support Team in the role of Learning Enhancement & Support Teacher (Senior Years) supporting Years 9 to 12.
The Learning Enhancement & Support Teacher (Senior Years) is responsible for the establishment, implementation, and review of support programs for students with specific learning needs in the area of literacy, numeracy and study skills as directed by the Director of Learning Enhancement & Support. This role works 1-1, in small groups and in whole class contexts to support students. Qualifications in the area of Learning Support are highly regarded, as are specialisations and experience catering for the needs of gifted and talented students and twice exceptional students. A preparedness to work with all students is essential.
The Learning Enhancement & Support Teacher (Senior Years) works collaboratively within the team as well as with academic teaching staff, parents, and external specialists to develop personalised learning programs; overseeing the learning pathways of students to ensure that they feel respected in the classroom and capable of success.
The notebook computer and our LMS are an integral part of the teaching and learning process at our School and it is expected teaching and learning will incorporate their use along with other technologies available to you. Knowledge and implementation of a variety of online and multimedia programs to support student learning is critical. Talented and high potential early career stage teachers are encouraged to apply.
