POSITION VACANT

LEARNING MANAGEMENT (GROW) ADMISTRATION OFFICER

Ongoing Part-time – 24 hours per fortnight

Available from 1st August 2024

An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified ADMINISTRATION OFFICER to join the Education team at Portland District Health.

The LM administration responsibilities encompass a high-level customer service with accurate collection of critical data and efficient administration processes to support the ongoing learning of staff and also organisational requirements for accreditation. This role will have a heavy focus on the review, programming and maintenance of the online training system known as GROW.  

About you:

  • Excellent computer literacy and data entry skills. Must be comfortable in using a variety of computer software including Office365 and web-based programs, ability to access and utilise organisational IT systems and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated Administrative clerical experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, striving for a high standard of excellence with work processes and outcomes. 
  • Ability to determine priorities, multi-task and organise workload effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent phone skills, providing high standard of communication to customers and staff. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, being respectful, approachable and team orientated with a friendly courteous demeanour.
  • Ability to be flexible in daily work plans to meet the needs of the workplace and department managers. 
  • Ability to be self-directed with own learning requirements
  • Ability to be proactive and autonomous with problem solving 
  • Current employee police check
  • Current evidence of immunisation history and serology results

Portland District Health (PDH) provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established in 1856 on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:

  • Hospital based Medical and Surgical services, Medical Imaging (Radiology), Pharmacy and Pathology
  • A 24/7 Urgent Care Centre for emergency treatment
  • Residential aged care for 30 residents at Harbourside Lodge
  • An extensive range of primary and community services for the local community

PDH delivers services from a single campus, employs around 470 staff with an FTE of approximately 290, and has an active volunteer workforce. The People and Culture Unit sits within the Corporate Services Directorate, with other Units including Finance, Building Services, Food Services, Environmental Services, Executive Support, Administration and Health Information.
