The College is seeking a qualified candidate to facilitate the administration of the Literacy Inquiry Centres at our Junior Schools. This position is across both the Carbrook and Springwood campus. We are looking for candidates who are excited about and familiar with our model of teaching and learning, keen to work in a fluid and agile learning environment. The position supports our teachers (Learning Designers) in resourcing inquiry.

- You have skills using technology, working with different programs and subscriptions relevant to the Learning Resource Assistant role.
Working under the direction of the Head of Junior School:
- Through resourcing, (purchasing, accessioning, cataloguing, labelling, and distributing), support teachers in their provision of high-quality educational outcomes.
- Support teachers in promoting reading for pleasure through facilitating sessions for students in Prep and Stage 1 (Year 1 – Year 2).
- Oversee the Literacy Inquiry Centre’s organisation (maintain an orderly environment with books, resources, and equipment neat, tidy and ready for use).
- Coordinate relevant co-curricular activities, making use of school operational processes. For example, promote the Literacy Inquiry Centre as an engaging, purposeful, innovative and welcoming environment for students and staff through incentives that add value to the educational experience of students and to life of the College such as Premier’s Reading Challenge, Book Week activities, Scholastic Book Club, etc.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently, in line with the College’s policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between the school and community.
- Participate in staff daily devotions and College worship sessions.
- Demonstrate qualifications and experience in a Library or Learning Assistant role.
- Demonstrate administrative excellence, delivery and management of resources, analytical skills, and innovation.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and capacity to develop productive relationships.
- Outline how your Christian faith has shaped and influenced your professional/work life.
This role is based across our Springwood and Carbrook Campuses.
