Learning Support Assistant

The Role

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to help support and assist our relevant students to maximise their educational outcomes, in and out of the classroom. Working collaboratively, with the wellbeing team and teaching staff, the Learning Support Assistant will provide a supportive, well-organised learning environment in which students are encouraged to achieve their fullest potential.

The position is a part- time opportunity, working in the term times of 2024 with our Senior or Junior School students (based on experience), for a fixed - term appointment. 

About You

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who:

• Has experience as an Integration Aide, Learning Support Assistant 
• Able to implement Learning Support strategies that enhance student growth
• A detailed understanding of the NCCD requirements as they relate to individual learning plans and student adjustments
• A commitment to the core values of our school, with an emphasis on integrity and personal excellence
• A collaborative approach and participate in the broader life of the school
• Has outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

Undergraduate teachers or newly graduated teachers with qualifications in Learning Support are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to immerse themselves in an exceptional learning culture.

All positions at Peninsula Grammar require:

• Current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to apply) 
• First-Aid qualifications (HLTAID009 CPR Course, HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid & ASCIA anaphylaxis)
• Child Safety training – (provided by the school)
