We're seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant (Secondary) for our Wantirna South campus who desires to play a vital role in the creation of an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. Learning Support Assistants are an integral part of our school community, ensuring that each student receives the necessary support to facilitate their active participation in school and classroom activities. Your support will make a lasting impact on their educational journey. This role is FTE 0.89, working 8:50am-3:35pm Monday-Friday.
Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2300 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2024.
You are an ideal candidate if:
- Have as a minimum, a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, or be prepared to study towards one
- Have a passion for supporting students with disabilities
- Have the ability to collaborate with teachers, students, and other support staff
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Has good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Have excellent problem-solving skills
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Be able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
- Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities

Applicants are to include a Resume, Cover Letter, written Pastoral Reference and complete the screening questions as part of the application process. Applicants will also need to provide three references. A Working with Children’s Check, and a Police Check less than three months old are mandatory prior to being hired. A First Aid Certificate (HLTAD011) and Anaphylaxis Certificate are also required prior to starting in the role.
