The School of Nursing and Midwifery is one of the largest of schools within the Heath Group and Griffith University. Job DescriptionThe School is currently recruiting for a Lecturer to primarily teach within Biosciences for Nursing and Midwifery students. This role will contribute to the successful teaching of undergraduate (primarily) and postgraduate programs which includes initiating and developing course material where appropriate.
The position is primarily teaching focused, where you will undertake teaching, course and/or program coordination and curriculum development. The successful candidate is expected to have demonstrated expertise, and teaching experience. You will also undertake research or scholarship in your area of expertise while supervising Honours and research higher degree students.
This is a continuing, full time position and will be primarily based at both the Griffith University Gold Coast & Logan campuses. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $108,298 - $128,608 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $126,708- $150,471 per annum.

The successful applicant will also have:
- demonstrated experience teaching Biosciences for Nurses and Midwives,
- unrestricted registration and license to practise as a registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (highly desirable),
- possess a PhD or enrolment in a PhD, with a track record and commitment to teaching excellence (highly regarded),
- success in attracting research grant funding and a track record of publishing high quality papers,
- experience in curriculum design, development and course coordination.
