About us:
The Child and Family Health Service provide a range of services, including the Primary School Nurse Health Readiness Program, Child and Family Health Service, School Base Youth Health Service, and the Extended Midwifery Service. The facility provides multidisciplinary primary community health services to young children and their families who reside in the Rockhampton area.
About the role:
The Registered Nurse (RN) within the Primary School Health Readiness Program will conduct health screening activities with children in community settings to promote early identification and intervention to address targeted health issues. The position entails travel to Primary Schools within a designated area.
About you:
To be successful in this role you must have registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and a current annual practicing certificate.
- An ability to work autonomously and in a team to achieve service objectives. This includes the ability to recognise situations which necessitate supervision or guidance and seek appropriate support, as well as the ability to facilitate collaboration and teamwork to promote effective working relationships.
- Effective written and interpersonal skills and an ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders to coordinate service activities.
- Experience working with children and their families with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children using techniques that are appropriate for age and developmental stage, while supporting families to participate in health care through a negotiated partnership approach.
Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $3,919 p.m. is comprised of:
- A salary between $40.51 - $51.97 p.h.
