About the role:As the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in
General Education Studies, you will play a key academic and leadership role in the National School of Education. You'll provide input into teaching innovations and curriculum development contributing to the activities of the National School of Education and the effective coordination, supervision and/or mentoring of staff. Key responsibilities involve the ongoing development, delivery, coordination and assessment of units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the discipline of
General Education Studies in line with the School's national curricula. This role can be based at any NSW campus but you will be expected to teach across two campuses of your choice.More specifically the role entails:
- Contributing to the development and innovative delivery of units in the School's teacher education courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Moderation and maintenance of academic standards, course accreditation, course reviews and quality assurance in line with governance requirements
- Engaging in academic administration and coordination of academic programs
- Leading groups and/or mentoring staff in developing innovative and engaging evidence-based teaching practices and learning environments
- Participating in collaborations and initiatives to enhance research revenue in alignment with ACU research strategy and quality standards.
- Contribute to the advancement of the National School of Education through active engagement with school and stakeholder partnerships when opportunity arises.

- Total remuneration valued to $134,709 - $158,885 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $113,831 - $134,397 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level B) or total remuneration valued to $162,426 - $176,346 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $137,470 - $149,367 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level C). The level of appointment will be determined based on the level of experience, skills and capability of the successful candidate.
- 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
- Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
