About the role:
The Legal Advisor will assist in supporting and advising our retail business in our transition to a renewable energy future. Day to day operations may include reviewing documentation covering processes and training material, advising on promotional materials and customer communications, negotiating contracts, advising the business in relation to privacy and providing general contract law and intellectual property law advice.
In this role, you'll be:

• Advising on consumer law issues in the retail energy sector
• Supporting and advising the Retail business in its transition to a renewable energy future
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiate commercial agreements, including service agreements and supplier agreements
• Assisting Senior Lawyer & Senior Legal Managers with managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Assisting with the provision of updates and training to the Retail business on relevant legal matters

Ideally, you'll bring to the role:

• A degree in Law and be admitted to practice in an Australian jurisdiction
• Post-admission legal experience either in private practice or in-house with demonstrable energy and/or consumer law experience
• Experience drafting and reviewing commercial agreements
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and self-manage competing workloads
