About the Role:

Join our team as a Legal and Property Manager, supporting the Chief Commercial & Legal Officer in managing legal, commercial, property, and insurance portfolios.

The Legal and Property Manager will be responsible for handling complex property and legal matters, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring MMA's interests are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

Property and Tenancy Management:

• Efficiently administer all aspects of tenancy leases and licenses, ensuring optimal utilization of MMA's property assets.

• Lead communication efforts, resolve disputes, and provide guidance to the property team for strategic objectives achievement.

• Oversee lease administration, property documentation, and tenant communication.

Legal and Commercial Matters:

• Support the Chief Commercial & Legal Officer in drafting, reviewing, negotiating legal documents, and managing litigation.

• Provide expert advice on Legal and commercial transactions, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and mitigating risks effectively.

Insurance:

• Manage insurance requirements, policies, claims, and cost-effective improvements.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Handle privacy, data protection, reporting obligations, and statutory compliance.

Policy Development and Implementation:

• Contribute to developing and implementing commercial and legal policies.

Stakeholder Relations:

• Build relationships with authorities and the market community.

Safety:

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation, fostering a strong safety culture.

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in commercial property (preferred) and Law (required)

• 7+ years' experience in property and/or management

• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities

• Valid VIC practising certificate
