SalaryWe are offering a legal support position within our law firm in Galston to someone who has experience across a range of areas in law. Initially the role will be for 1-2 dpw in our small but busy practice in Galston. Our office covers a variety of areas of law including Litigation, Wills/Estates, Family, some Criminal, Conveyancing, Disputes, Debt Recovery, etc.
The ideal candidate will be articulate, have a keen eye for detail, be well organized and a good manager of their own time. Excellent communication and letter writing skills are important. This person needs to be punctual and self-sufficient in order to meet deadlines We need someone that can work independently as well as a part of a busy team.
Experience with legal practice software such as LEAP as well as a good working knowledge of MS Office systems is preferred.
The duties would include:
- General administrative assistance - answering phones & diary management & client liaison
- Processing incoming emails and assigning to Leap
- Preparation of briefs and court documents
- Digital dictation, typing/amending correspondence and other documents
- Entering timesheets and producing bills
- Day to day legal support or administrative tasks as required
