The opportunity
You will be part of a high performing and highly regarded litigation team working towards collective success. Your responsibilities will include:
- Staying abreast of client matters and updating clients accordingly.
- Liaising with authorities, practitioners and clients alike.
- Effective file management in our cloud-based practice management system.
- Preparing and amending legal documents and correspondence.
- Dictation and word processing.
- Organisation of diary and meetings.
- Debtor management.
- File opening and closing.
- Completion of billing at end of month.
About you
To be successful for this position we are looking for an enthusiastic, driven individual with:
- A minimum (3) years’ experience as a Legal Assistant in Litigation and/or insolvency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-presented and possess an excellent phone manner.
- Ability to interact and build relationships with staff and clients.
- Ability to multi-task and to work independently.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Flexibility, reliability, and excellent organisational skills.
- Can prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with LEAP Legal Software would be highly regarded (not essential).
- Typing speed no less than 70wpm with 98% accuracy.
