Form of workRoger Ferrier Law are seeking applications for a full time legal assistant or paralegal position. Our firm is a busy law firm focused on commercial law, conveyancing, wills and estates and family succession planning.
The primary responsibilities in this role will be:-
- Carry out a variety of administrative tasks including sending letters and emails and making telephone calls;
- Drafting letters and basic correspondence;
- File management;
- Diary management;
- Billing;
- Opening and closing files; and
- General administrative duties
The successful candidate will work directly with the partners of the firm.
We are seeking a candidate with strong communication & time management skills, strong problem solving skills, an ability to exercise discretion, and a respect for confidentiality. A willingness to take responsibility and ownership for your work, an ability to work under pressure, and an ability to work as part of a team is also crucial.
We require someone who has the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with clients to provide a sense of reassurance and confidence. You can promote and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external parties. You have the ability to take ownership of tasks and to see them through to finalisation, irrespective of the result. We are seeking someone with immaculate corporate presentation and excellent business acumen.
You must be available to work Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm and be either an Australian Citizen or permanent resident.
Experience in a law firm is not essential but experience in office administration generally would be looked upon favourably.
