AddressPosition - Onsite full or part time position for an experienced Legal Secretary.
Turner Freeman Lawyers are a national plaintiff law firm with a proud history of over 70 years acting for and protecting the rights of injured people. This on-site role will be based in our busy Maroochydore office.
*Please note this position is offered as a full time or potentially part time role for the suitable successful candidate. Part time details will be discussed at the time of interview for a mutual outcome.
To be successful in this position you will require excellent listening skills, good communication, organisational skills, possess an enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness to work within a team with a friendly and positive demeanour.
Previous legal office experience and skills that you have acquired will be beneficial. This is a role where you are highly depended upon so initiative and personal motivation are essential. Experience of at least 2+ years in a similar legal secretarial capacity is essential for this fast paced role.
Your role will be varied and will include but not limited to:-
About the Role
- Reception duties, includes taking and forwarding through detailed and accurate messages;
- Transcription of digital dictation;
- Opening new matters;
- Draft legal documents and correspondence;
- Collate court documents for filing;
- Preparation of briefs;
- Liaise with clients, medical professionals and other relevant third parties;
- Extensive diary management;
- Audit and order office supplies; and
- General administration duties & housekeeping as required.
About you
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
- Ability to tackle a task in an efficient manner;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Experience in Aderant Expert and iManage will be an advantage, however not essential as full induction training will be provided.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office skills;
- A commitment to providing a high level of client service; and
- A friendly and positive attitude.
