SalaryA Globally recognisable brand is currently seeking an experienced Lawyer to help lead the legal and compliance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, develop & uplift organisations Compliance framework, polices and management procedure, instilling a culture of continuous improvement.
- Leading reporting obligations in respect to licensing, vendor contracts, commercial law , privacy and corporate governance under ASIC obligations.
- Review and provide advice on the resolution of complex customer complaints and/ or disputes escalated to regulatory authorities
- Support from external Legal Counsel specialists
- Provide advice on regulatory issues and assisting in provision of advice on new or more complex legal and regulatory issues
- Lead the development and delivery of training programmes relating to relevant regulatory issues
- Deep experience within Legal & Compliance gained either or partially or wholly within Financial Services.
- 5-10+ years’ experience in compliance/legal
- Knowledge of legal requirements and controls.
- Strong communication skills, able to work with the business and whilst maintaining essential independence.
- Business partnering skills with the ability to work closely with the Regulators whilst managing the company's interests and agenda.
- Analytical mind and excellent problem-solving skills, able to interpret complex regulatory policy and establish solutions for its implementation and fast adoption.
