Due to growth, they are now seeking an in-house Legal Counsel and commercial manager to join the legal team. This role will see you have exposure to a variety of stakeholders and matters and as such this role would suit a results driven and collaborative Legal Counsel.
Position
Our client is seeking a commercial lawyer with 4+ years PAE to join their team. You will work closely with the Head of Legal on a range of commercial transactions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts – could be anything but will include construction, property, corporate, technology, procurement and broader commercial contracts.
- Handling special projects as required to ensure timely and accurate deliverables are met.
- Working autonomously on tasks, consulting with colleagues and the General Counsel as necessary; and
- Contract and knowledge management.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have at least 4+ years' post admission experience (or equivalent) across commercial, corporate, real estate, or construction.
In addition, you will ideally have:
- Experience with contract reviews and input into tenders (government and commercial enterprise);
- The ability to be comfortable in a very fast paced environment, handling multiple projects, issues and transactions in parallel; and
- Experience in having effective working relationships with outside Legal Counsel and internal general counsel to ensure accurate and appropriate advice.
