Our client, a leading ASX company headquartered in Melbourne, is one of the leaders in its field. It is currently seeking a commercially astute lawyer with approx. 4-6 years PQE to join its established and very well regarded inhouse legal team.
Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will provide high quality legal support across business. Day-to-day you will provide advice on a broad range of matters including in the areas of Corporate/Commercial law, procurement, competition, IP/IT/privacy, HR/employment law, health, safety & environment, disputes. You will be supported by more senior inhouse counsel who will provide you mentorship and guidance. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a collaborative in-house legal team, working in a hybrid /flexible work model.
About you
The ideal candidate will offer experience gained from a quality law firm or in-house team. We are interested in speaking with candidates from a range of technical backgrounds, though you will offer some expose to one or more of the areas of law listed above. Excellent drafting skills, attention to detail, commerciality, a team orientated approach, initiative and strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level lawyer seeking to pursue their legal career in-house in a dynamic and highly commercial environment. This role suits a lawyer who is already working in-house or looking for their first step into the corporate sector from a law firm.
