Role: In- House Legal Counsel

Employment Type: 1 role Permanent - Full Time and 1 role Part Time (4 days) Fixed Term

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our friendly in-house legal team. This is a hybrid role, providing support to our company across a range of legal areas. Reporting to the General Counsel this is a fantastic opportunity to gain in-house legal experience within a large and complex national operation.
Your Impact:
- Represent the company appropriately in courts and tribunals for complex matters, as required.
- Draft technically correct error free complex legal advice and documents for approval.
- Complete research tasks and contribute to legal department precedents.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels and functions within the company and demonstrate respect and consideration for others.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and other external parties.
- Actively promote and support the company's risk management initiatives.
- Assign tasks to support and mentor junior lawyers.

You'll bring to the table:
- 4 - 8 years post admission experience as a legal practitioner in Australia, in a litigation, commercial or corporate law role.
- Experience in employment law, or property law will also be highly regarded.
- Conducting complex and sensitive negotiations, with supervision where appropriate.
- Demonstrated ability to work both as part of an inter-disciplinary team and independently with limited supervision as the context requires.
- Ability to produce quality work within agreed timeframes to meet client expectations.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels within an organisation.
