About the role:
Reporting into the Education Lead, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working to achieve educational outcomes for children and young people.
The main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Liaising with the relevant educational agencies to facilitate the educational placements of children and young people.
Participate in Education Support Planning (ESP) and ensure Key Assets has a current copy of the ESP for each child and young person.
Sourcing educational resources to suit individual needs and providing them to school personnel, carers, social workers and youth workers.
Liaise and inform Key Assets social work staff and the responsible Child Safety Officer of the current educational progress of the young person.
Maintain the educational database in a timely and ongoing manner.

About you:
Must be a qualified and registered teacher.
Must possess a full, current Queensland driver’s licence.
Proven experience in teaching, and/or teaching children with Special Education Needs.
Ability to work respectfully in partnership with stakeholder agents/consultants and training providers. Ability to communicate simply and effectively, both verbal and written, with a diverse staff group at all levels, recognising potential language barriers and cultural differences.
