Legal Counsel

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join our team. Working closely with, and reporting to, our Corporate Counsel, the successful candidate will assist with a range of general commercial legal matters as part of the Group in-house team. We are looking for someone who is able to manage competing deadlines, problem solve, implement process improvements and who has the enthusiasm and commitment to achieve in a busy role.

The key accountabilities for this role include:

• Draft, review and negotiate contractual documentation and advise businesses within the Group on appropriate risk mitigation strategies to support informed decision-making.
• Providing commercial advice across a diverse range of areas including FMCG related issues.
• Assist with Group compliance and governance projects.
• Assist with the development and delivery of internal training.
• Work on other legal matters/projects as part of the Group Legal team.

You should have the following qualifications to meet the requirements of the role:

• Law Degree
• Admitted to practice in New South Wales
• Circa 5 or more years’ experience (with a commercial focus)
• Experience with review, drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts.
• Previous FMCG experience highly regarded.
• The successful applicant will be self-motivated with a professional attitude toward their work and will contribute towards maintaining and enhancing our constructive culture.
