Our client is an established global SaaS provider with tens of thousands of users across five continents with offices in the UK, North America, New Zealand and Asia.
Your new role
The company is experiencing significant growth and is now in a good position to bring in a Legal Counsel to contribute to the company's strategy and mission through the provision of expert legal advice ensuring the ongoing protection of the organisation's interests.
As Legal Counsel, you will be expected to provide a full suite of legal services, including but not limited to:- structure, review, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including master service agreements, data processing agreements, service orders, non-disclosure agreements and vendor agreements.
- assist the regional sales teams in support of customer deals
- assist in developing and implementing corporate and compliance policies and processes
- provide ad-hoc legal support to business teams on data protection, product and employment law
- responsible for all legal work outsourced to external legal providers
- build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the company globally
What you'll need to succeed
- admitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia
- hold a current practicing certificate
- 3 - 5 year's PAE with significant experience in providing advice across commercial matters and drafting a broad range of commercial agreements.
- ideally experience advising clients within the technology industry, preferably a similar SaaS provider
- an understanding of data privacy law
- high degree of commercial acumen
- excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills
- ability to work independently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
