Role Details
The Legal Officer is a role within the Screening Unit, Community Investment and Support and is accountable to the Manager, Policy for:
• Preparing documentation for the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT) where Screening Unit decisions are appealed.
• Responding to applications to revoke a prohibition notice/internal review/early applications.
• Conducting legal and policy research as required.
• Assisting with the development of Screening Unit policies and procedures.
• Drafting responses to Screening Unit inbox enquiries.
Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Essential Qualifications: Applicant needs to have a tertiary qualification in law. DHS are not able to provide supervised practice.
Role Status: Term up to 11/04/2025
Salary Range: $67,693-$77,494 (LE01)
