JMR Lawyers & Mediators also practices in the areas of DV, Criminal/Traffic matters and Wills and Estates.
At present, we are looking for a full-time Practice Manager to oversee the day to day operations of the law firm, as well as undertake daily Trust Accounting receipting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the office operations run smoothly, including some book-keeping duties with respect to daily receipting of transactions into and out of the Trust Account and ensuring the Trust Account is compliant with its requirements, undertake budget reviews, running of financial reports weekly, monthly and quarterly for the Principal and developing strategies to streamline office operations;
- Assisting the Principal with the financial management of the financial management of the Firm;
- Coordinate with all IT and office service providers to ensure the office operations run smoothly and employed staff have access to the utilities required to undertake their work such as internet access etc;
- Management of the administrative staff including but not limited to advertising for roles, screening applicants, training new employees and monitoring their level of knowledge and adherence to Firm practices and procedures;
- Organising and management of employed solicitors and the Principals CPD requirements and tracking of attendance at same and CPD points accrued;
- Marketing including the management of the website and coordinating events;
- Managing client relations (where required).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Comprehensive knowledge of Trust Accounting obligations and Trust Accounting Compliance is a requirement for this position;
- Prior experience as a Practice Manager or significant experience in an administrative role within a law firm is essential;
- Excellent knowledge of and experience with the Leap software program;
- Knowledge of Legal Practice office administration duties and responsibilities, systems and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and planning skills
