OverviewAbout the RoleThe role of our Legal Recovery Account Manager is to manage our Premium and Credit Teams’ Legal Portfolio within our Workers Compensation Division of the business.This role requires a highly professional and customer focused approach to recoveries of delinquent accounts. You'll focus on building relationships with Gallagher Bassett’s selected Mercantile Agents, Administrators, Liquidators & Restructuring Practitioners. A partnered approach will assist in resolving escalated outstanding WorkCover premiums owed to the Victorian WorkCover scheme.How you'll make an impactYou will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following:

• Collaborating with the Premium and Credit Team Managers to review and determine files to be referred to GB’s nominated Mercantile Agent on a weekly/fortnightly basis
• Providing instructions to Mercantile Agent’s via phone Call or Email relating to Formal Arrangements, Signing Central Security Depositories or Affidavits
• Maintaining employer information and workplace details where required relating to referred legal files and insolvencies
• Liquidated, Administrated or Restructuring Practitioner Appointed policies, require policy maintenance for example ceasing policies, updating remuneration or writing off debt
• Working together with the Premium Technical Manager on any Industry Classification Reviews that may arise as part of resolving account debt
• Processing payment refund applications for employers for who make payments on an active policy and are then placed into either Administration or Liquidation
• Maintaining the insolvency report to reduce the overall number in the portfolio
• Registering any new Administrator & Liquidator policies, and following up any outstanding debt incurred by the practitioner
• Reviewing monthly Mercantile Agent/s invoices before forwarding on internally for payment and processing
