With an established and trusted practice of over 30 years, an opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our firm's commercial department has arisen. The successful candidate will be a key member of our high performing commercial department handling a variety of complex matters including conveyancing and property, estates and business matters.
Qualifications & experience
- The ability to work well within a team as well as independently and autonomously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks.
- Previous administration experience is essential, legal experience is highly regarded.
Tasks & responsibilities
- General administration duties including answering telephone calls and enquiries, photocopying and printing.
- Corresponding with clients including providing updates on cases and seeking further information as requested.
- Managing solicitors calendars including scheduling meetings and notarising key dates.
- Opening and closing matters and conducting due diligence.
- Preparation, lodgement and filing of legal documents and correspondence.
- Providing assistance to other solicitors of the firm as required.
