We are a law firm based in Liverpool, seeking a full-time, highly organised, passionate and experiencedLegal Secretary to join our busy Leasing Department.
Our firm has been providing legal services to our clients for over 25 years predominately in the areas of Property Law, however we also act on Family Law, Wills & Probates, Civil Litigation, Debt Recovery and Traffic Matters.
This exciting opportunity will be suited to someone who can work autonomously under the direction of our Solicitors and Senior Paralegal, be hard working and possess a self-motivated work ethic.
Your role will be to support the Senior Paralegal in the Leasing Department in the conduct of all Property Leasing matters. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:-
- Preparation of and issuing of lease documentation
- Preparing various correspondence, legal documents and agreements
- Typing and general property administration support to leasing team
- Attending to lodgements on PEXA
- Liasing with clients, other firms and authorities
- File maintenance (including the opening and closing of files) and keeping of up to date database
- Diary management
- Making of appointments
- Providing general support to Solicitors and Senior Paralegal
- Your role may also involve some basic accounting practices such as the processing of receipts and payments.
To be successful you must have;-
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary or paralegal working in particular the area of Property Leasing
- Proficient understanding of Property Leasing practices
- Ability to see matters through from inception to completion
- Experience in using LEAP Legal Software is essential
- Experience and knowledge in PEXA is desired but not essential
- Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent organisation skills and professional communication skills
- Proactive attitude and the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
- Strong time management skills and be able to prioritise workflow
- A positive can-do attitude with the ability to work individually and also in a team
- Outstanding client service skills
- Have the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
