We are Port Stephens Veterans & Citizens Aged Care (PSVCAC) and have been fortunate to serve our incredible local community for the past 40 years.
We are seeking someone passionate about inspiring and executing individual care. In this role, you will motivate individuals through recreational activities that promote emotional and physical well-being while working collaboratively with the Personal Care Team to provide consumers with quality care while actively trying to maintain individual consumers' skill levels, independence, and mobility.
What one of your days will look like:
• Assisting in organising a variety of fun and engaging activities on-site, including social, recreational, and cultural events
• Collaborating with our clients and residents to create and manage comprehensive Leisure and recreation programs
• Fostering close relationships with families and caregivers through activities that promote the health and wellbeing of residents.
• Utilise your local knowledge and expertise to increase the chances of our Clients and Residents being connected to their community
What you will need to be successful:
• Cert IV in Leisure and Health
• Emotionally intelligent and can emphasise with residents and respond to their ever-changing needs.
• By nature, you are compassionate and committed to improving the lives of others
• Ability to assess the progress and the benefits programs provide to older people
• A dynamic facilitator with a ‘can do’ approach
• Superior skills in communication, including written and presentation skills
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
