The Opportunity
We currently have a vacancy for a permanent full-time Leisure andLifestyle Officer at one of our aged care facilities in Sandy Bay.
The role of the Leisure and Lifestyle Officer is to design, implement and evaluate, social, cultural, spiritual and activity programs, aimed at improving the care recipient’s quality of life. Through preserving social skills, self-esteem and an optimum level of physical activity, the Leisure and Lifestyle Officer ensures care recipients receive the highest possible standard of care.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate an understanding of the aged care sector, have some practical experience and be consumer focused.
What you’ll need:
- IT literacy
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards (or the ability to acquire this)
- Satisfactory national police check within the last three months
- Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration with NDIS endorsement
- If you are on a visa, a copy of your current IMMI Letter
