365 Consulting Engineers is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join the team.
Tasks:
- Determines construction methods, materials, and quality standards, and drafts and interprets specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures
- Organises and directs site labour and the delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishes detailed programs for the co-ordination of site activities
- Conduct site assessment and studies to determine project requirements, constraints, and potential risks.
- Studies architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate total costs, and prepare detailed cost plans and estimates as tools to assist in budgetary control
- Monitors changes to designs, assesses effects on cost, and measures, values and negotiates variations to designs
- Ensure that all safety procedures and regulations are being followed on site
- Maintain project QA documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans .
- Monitor quality and environmental issues, taking appropriate action.
- Analyses structural systems for both static and dynamic loads using latest structural software.
- Perform Structural Design of Timber, Steel and Concrete structures as per Standards, codes and guidelines.
- Perform geotechnical designs for Foundations structures, retaining walls and unstable slopes using latest design software.
- Perform site inspections and structural assessments to identify potential issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Ensure all design tasks, activities, and deliverables are formatted, progressed, checked, reviewed, and completed in accordance with project requirements, procedures, and systems, while maintaining consistency.
- Produce designs that are fit for purpose and consider all aspects including cost, constructability, operability, and maintainability.
- Designs structures to ensure they do not collapse, bend, twist or vibrate in undesirable ways
- Utilize relevant Drafting packages including Civil 3D, Auto CAD, DRAINS for design and reports of structural drawings for infrastructure projects.
- Assesses present and future travel flow patterns taking into account population increases and needs changes
- Designs the physical aspects of transportation systems such as Buildings, highways, railroads, urban transit, air transportation, logistical supply systems and their terminals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, major in Civil and/or Structural.
- Should possess min 5+ years’ experience on design works, building, Highways, bridges and foundations structures.
- Project management experience civil constructions works
- Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with latest structural & geotechnical design software
- Strong demonstrable written and technical and analytical skills
- Clear familiarity with standard drafting software
- Ability to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts and overcome challenges
- Passionate about Structural Engineering with a desire for excellence in design
- Proficient in leadership and adept at working independently
Salary: $90,000/year +super
