The Role
Suncorp Group is looking for a best-in-class Lending Manager to support our branch teams, to identify and develop sources for new home loan clients, whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
This role is a key driver for Suncorp to win in Home Lending and will role model the Suncorp behaviours for other Lenders within the group.
As the Lending Manager, you will assess the financial needs of customers and provide options in pursuit of specific sales, service, growth and connected customer targets, with an emphasis on mortgage lending and small business lending.
The successful candidate can be based between Mackay and Rockhampton however must be able to attend a Suncorp branch on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
Model the highest level of customer service behaviours within your team and portfolio and provide appropriate solutions to meet home loan customer’s needs
Take an active role in the development of capability and engagement of home lending within the branch team
Contribute to developing a positive and proactive Safety and Wellbeing culture including meeting all safety and wellbeing compliance requirements
Implement a business plan to achieve individual and team goals
Identify an acceptable level of lending risk in line with Suncorp’s risk appetite statement
Interact with customers via in branch or online
Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience in Banking or Financial services
A proven ability to build a network of referral sources
Ability to establish and develop customer relationships
Ability to demonstrate experience in writing and assessing quality credit submissions
Demonstrated experience in roles requiring growth and retention of a customer base
