Due to continued expansion and success in the Queensland broker market, our client is seeking the talents of a Business Development Manager to manage an existing network of Brokers/Broker Groups while developing new ones.Working autonomously, but forming part of a larger team, the ideal person will be a self-starter with an intrinsic drive for success and a proven track record in sales and relationship development within Financial Services.
You will be working for a Lender making real change in the Financial Services industry and for Australians across the country. Educating and building excitement within the broker channel will be your primary focus – leading with a product you truly believe in.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the growth of new broker partnerships (sales, growth) and non-financial (conversion, quality and NPS) performance of our broker channel.
- Develop strategic and tactical plans to optimise outcomes with new and existing broker partnerships.
- Contribute to the increase in activation rate across our existing broker partnerships.
- Demonstrate a consistent and proactive approach in consistently achieving and surpassing the activity targets set by our Sales Activity program.
- Provide fast and accurate responsiveness and support to your brokers to enhance their experience and ensure the best outcomes for customers.
- Help build and uphold a high-performance culture and learning environment across the company
- 2-5 years sales and account management experience in third-party intermediated channels, particularly in consumer lending and asset finance.
- Sub-prime knowledge and experience preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting sales and growth targets, underpinned by successful execution of broker development strategies
- Strong knowledge of consumer and asset finance lending products and credit risk underwriting.
- A "hunting" mindset with the ability to self-start and drive leads independently, including cold calls to prospective broker partners.
- Exhibit a proactive and forward-thinking mindset, consistently staying ahead of potential issues and objections, resulting in smoother sales interactions and improved outcomes.
- Exceptional time management and self-organisation skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously is a must
