A National IT & Telecommunications Service Provider in Melbourne's East requires a Level 2 Support Engineer to join its Managed Services team for a permanent opportunity commencing immediately. Your new role
In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for:
- Providing 2nd level remote and onsite IT support for clients.
- Supporting a broad range of clients to resolve high level IT issues escalated within the Service Desk.
- Performing technical support of servers, network and hardware.
- Assisting with the delivery of infrastructure projects.
- Delivering a high level of customer service and communication.
- Handling escalations, whilst mentoring and training Level 1 Service Desk Engineers.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in providing 2nd level IT support.
- Sound knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, Azure / AWS, VMware / Hyper-V, Veeam / Datto and Network troubleshooting (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco).
- Experience with ConnectWise / ServiceNow ITSM tools, switching & routing, SD-WAN and networking protocols is advantageous.
- A tertiary education in Information Technology as well as Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco and Check Point certifications are beneficial.
- Prior experience working for a Managed Service Provider or Consultancy.
- Current driver's license and access to a vehicle is required.
