MMG Rosebery:
Rosebery is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in Tasmania, Australia and is 100% owned by MMG Limited.
With continuous production since 1936 Rosebery mine has current potential to extend life beyond 2028. This underground mine has continually attracted and produced world class professionals. With a strong community focus and core values including safety and integrity, we are proud of our role in community development and our economic contribution to the local Tasmanian industry.
The operation continues to deliver excellent operational performance and employs over 500 employees and contractors who reside in the local region.
Level C Operator - Civil Crew/Mine Services Underground
We are currently recruiting a Level C Operator for the Mine Services Team at MMG Rosebery. The role reports to the Mine Services Supervisor and the accountabilities will include specific tasks related to your area of operation.
This role is offered on 7 Days on 7 Days off Day Shift Only DIDO basis.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role you will have minimum of 3 Years’ experience in underground mining, with a strong emphasis in a mechanised underground mining operation techniques. You will be able to demonstrate problem solving skills in a team environment. Exposure/Experience in construction of brattice & vent walls, fan installation, boxing & pouring of concrete slabs is critical to the role. Steel Set construction experience would be highly regarded.
As a team member you will have the ability to communicate clearly and conduct detailed handovers with supervisors, cross shift and other relevant departments. You will also have a basic understanding of mining targets & priority projects to ensure targets are met. You will be expected to work both alone and in a team environment with Safety and the wellbeing of others your number one priority.
About You:
Ideally You will have a Trade background (Builder, Fitter, Welder) however we will Consider Candidates that have previous experience in Underground Civil or Service work. You will need to be fit & Healthy and be able to pass a Police Clearance, Pre-Employment medical & Drug screen.

- Previous underground mining experience is essential
- Extensive knowledge off underground mining equipment and techniques.
- Experience using underground heavy machinery
- A manual C Class driver’s license
- First aid certificate – Desirable
