Based in the Tasmania State Office in Hobart, you will join a high-performing team, whose work is integral to the agency’s ability to deliver federal elections and other electoral events, and the proper conduct of those events in accordance with the AEC’s Electoral Integrity Framework.
The State Office team supports the administration of Tasmania’s five electoral divisions and is responsible for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of a range of projects that support state-wide electoral event delivery. The team collaborates with the AEC’s national and other state/territory teams to assure governance and corporate deliverables as well as works closely with, and provides critical support to, our divisional network, which is the operational arm of the AEC in Tasmania.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Assistant Director, this role is responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of multiple Event Projects. You will contribute to event-readiness functions, including matters relating to corporate support and quality assurance.
You will be responsible for providing executive assistant support to the leadership team, including diary management, filing, travel arrangements and organisational tasks as well as office duties and customer service tasks.
At election time, the role may also be required to take on new responsibilities at short notice, as agency priorities necessitate and as directed by management.
