Salary: UOM 6 - $92,749 - $100,397 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus 17% super

About the Role
The Liaison Librarian (Research Support) collaborates with a team of information professionals to bolster research in Science & Engineering & IT. Responsibilities include researcher training, providing guidance on literature searching, research impact, and data management, and facilitating scholarly publishing and open access initiatives.This role works closely with the Science & Engineering Liaison team and other Scholarly Services colleagues to design programs and resources supporting researchers and graduate students, while also contributing to teaching & learning programs and cross-team projects as needed.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Work with liaison colleagues and other Scholarly Services staff to develop, deliver and evaluate a range of innovative programs and resources that support researchers and graduate researchers through the research lifecycle.
  • Contribute to central Scholarly Services research programs and faculty research programs as required.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of relationships with key faculty academics and staff, Scholarly Services colleagues and other professional staff to deliver effective library services and initiatives.
Who we are looking for
You will bring innovation to Research Support services, particularly in online platforms, showcasing strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Additionally, your high self-motivation and commitment to excellence in library services will be essential.You will also have:
  • Post graduate qualifications in librarianship or a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Eligibility for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience necessary for contemporary academic librarianship particularly those relevant to supporting researchers and research activities.
  • Strong digital skills and confidence e.g. web skills, multimedia technologies, productivity tools, social media.

This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
