About the role:
Research and Ethics Department providing all necessary and essential services related to human research, ethics and Research Governance. Reporting directly to the Director of Research, the Research Governance, Ethics & Trial Support Coordinator will be working in collaboration with dynamic multidisciplinary teams. You will be responsible for the coordination and management of organizational Research Governance Activities including the activities related to the National Clinical Trial Governance Framework (NCTGF), administrative management of the Human Research Ethics including the Human Research Ethics Committee and the Subcommittee, and to support Clinical Trials and Tele-Trials across the organisation.
Successful applicant will have:
Tertiary qualification in health, health science, bioethics, or other health related background
Solid understanding of regulatory guidelines in Research Governance, human research ethics, clinical trial practices and National Clinical Trial Governance Framework
Excellent understanding of the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, Ethical conduct in research with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and communities and all other relevant national or state level guidelines to conduct human research
Detailed understanding of research and trial documents such as Participant Information Statement and Consent Form (PICF) including their withdrawal, study protocol, questionnaire and advertising material etc.
Demonstrated excellent team working skills with ability to work using own initiative
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage research projects
