Skills Insight is one of 10 Jobs & Skills Councils (JSCs), tasked with improving skills and training across the Agribusiness, Fibre, Furnishing, Food, Animal and Environment care industries. Funded by government, Skills Insight works closely with stakeholders, supporting the voice of industry in the Australian skills and VET systems.

Skills Insight collaborates and creates connections with industry, training providers, unions and government to work on possible solutions to skills challenges and explore opportunities. Skills Insight’s work is informed by in depth, Research and analysis to facilitate the voice of industry and deliver real, innovative and evidence-based outcomes that support the development of a skilled workforce.

As Research & Workforce Planning Support Officer, this will be your opportunity to support a research team workng on varied and real world projects that will make a genuine difference to the workforce of the future, as you build your research career. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Support Research and Workforce Planning projects and activities.
• Report writing, preparation and drafting of documents.
• Some qualitative/quantitative analysis
• Coordinating research activities (interviews/site visits)
• Assist with design & development of surveys.
• Assist research team meet scheduled milestones.
• Provide operational and data support - manage, update, cleanse & collect data.
• Assist developing presentations.
• General administrative/coordinational support

Ideally you will bring a sound knowledge of research methodologies and as a tech savvy individual you will have a basic understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research analysis technology. A curious mindset together with a collaborative, adaptable and support service focus, you will be well organised and mindful of all deadline schedules and where your support is needed the most in a role that will have a broad range of responsibilities across the team. This role will suit candidates wanting to build their research career, who already have some initial research work experience and appropriate tertiary qualifications.
