We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Library and Arts Assistant who shares our values and vision to join our dedicated team and inspire our students to achieve their best through personalised learning approaches and diverse educational programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the library help desk, providing customer-focused support and guidance.
- Assist students and staff with selecting, borrowing, and returning library resources.
- Support the Art teacher in preparing materials for lessons and supervising students.
- Foster a welcoming and engaging environment for students to explore and learn.
- Support the Teacher Librarian with inventory management, cataloguing, and processing library resources.
- Promote reading programs and assist with Library and school events.
- Assist in the maintenance of art materials and equipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the Library and the art room.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a library, preferably a school library.
- Proficiency with library management systems, particularly Oliver.
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for reading and literature.
- Ability to build relationships with and engage students of all ages.
- High-level ICT skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
