About the role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Library Assistant to join our team one day per week (Monday) in term time. In this role you will be responsible for providing an efficient, friendly and helpful library information service to students and staff at the college and ensuring that the library operations and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
You will support the Library Teacher, the school teachers and students approaching the circulation desk, whilst maintaining the order and integrity of both primary and secondary library collections with daily organisation and shelving. You will also be required to give supervision within the library to staff in training, or to small groups of students as directed.

About you
The successful candidate will have a Library qualification and / or relevant experience in a similar setting. They will be an excellent communicator with a high level of demonstrated customer service. They will have a student first approach, a growth mindset and model appropriate behaviour for our students. Extreme attention to detail and the ability to demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality is also paramount in this role.
