Library Assistant, you'll be right in the heart of a customer-oriented environment, assisting customers to discover and utilise our extensive library resources and outstanding facilities.We currently have an opening at our Dubbo Library branch. Your role as a
Library Assistant promises a dynamic and enriching experience in the world of library and information services.Working in a library environment exposes you to a vast array of information and resources, fostering a culture of continuous learning. You'll get the opportunity to connect with diverse members of your community and provide essential services that promote literacy and education.We require you to be flexible to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Support customers in the use of library facilities, resources and PC applications
- Deliver excellent face to face customer service to all library users
- Issue and return library materials
- Re-shelving and shelf reading
- Operate library equipment
- Respond to borrowers enquiries and provide basic information services

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE- Higher School Certificate
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Proficiency in computer operations, including common software applications
- Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings
