The position
The City is seeking a passionate and experienced person to be responsible for providing a high level of support in the maintenance of the Library Management System (LMS) and the maintenance, and technical support of the Library Services websites, including integration with the library management software.
This role will also be involved in assisting in the provision of library services ranging from training initiative through to customer service on the circulation desk.
The successful applicant will require the following;
- Tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Sciences, Information Technology and/or in a computer or technical discipline, and/or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated high level understanding and commitment to customer service specialising in digital and technology services.
- Experience in support of Library Management Systems.
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the achievement of team goals.
- Ability to undertake tasks involving lifting, stretching and bending in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Work hours and location
This role is being offered on a full-time basis (76 hours per fortnight) with an end date of 31st December 2024. This role will be based at our Spearwood library but may require travel to our other Cockburn Libraries. There may be the requirement for evening and Saturday work.
Salary: $78,894 per annum plus 10% library loading and great workplace benefits are offered.
