Salary from $94,037.95 + Superannuation
35 hour per week model
Based at our Oakleigh Library with the opportunity to visit other sites

The library service sits within the Arts & Libraries department of the Community Services division. There are 5 main branches based in Clayton, Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley, Oakleigh and Wheelers Hill and Mulgrave Neighbourhood Library located within Wellington Road Community Centre.
About the Position:
The Library Technology Team Leader is responsible for delivering up to date and relevant library technologies and innovation projects that enhance the lifelong learning opportunities for the Monash community as well as delivering an exceptional customer experience to all visitors of Monash Public Library Service.
This role is also responsible for ensuring and maintaining a high standard of service delivery to Library Service customers within library and outreach service points through the effective leadership of staff and daily management of the operations.
About you:
Be proficient in the development of innovative and contemporary library service provision with knowledge of the underlying principles of public Library Technology needs
Have knowledge of emerging technologies and their role in delivery of modern, state-of-the-art public library and community services
Have problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot critical business systems
Provide leadership and guidance to Library Leadership Team in the administration of the Library Management System
Have sound project management skills and experience in effectively managing a range of Library Technology projects
Have an understanding of and experience with the principles and practices of working within a budget and relevant accounting and financial procedures is required
Requirement of the position:
A tertiary degree qualification as per below or management qualification is mandatory or diploma qualification with several years’ relevant experience in Information Systems, Information Technology, or related discipline with understanding of Public Library environment
OR
In Information Management or related discipline with extensive experience in Library Technologies and systems
Experience in development and delivery of Library Technology projects, library customer experience projects and customer relationship management
Experience in managing and meeting budgetary requirements and program objectives
Employee Working with Children’s Check
Satisfactory National Police Check; and
Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
