Benevolent Living is undergoing a transformational change to redefine how our seniors age and what activities provide them meaning and purpose in their day to day lives. We are looking for a creative, energetic and empathetic person to join our Lifestyle Team to help run our Lifestyle calendar, brainstorm new and exciting activities/events and also help facilitate community outings.
No day will ever be the same in this role, you will connect with people who will leave a lasting impact and deliver meaningful change for the seniors of our region.
Skills and Abilities
- Certificate IV Leisure & Health or Diploma in Diversional Therapy (or willing to work towards a qualification)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Experience in providing a variety of social, recreational, diversional and intellectual activities and programs that meet the specific needs of individual residents within an aged care settings (desirable).
- Strong administrative skills and ability to document in accordance with position requirements.
- Ability to be creative and plan activities/events for the benefit of all residents at Benevolent Living.
- Understanding and knowledge of Dementia and other cognitive impairments (desirable)
- Ability to work with the seniors of our region in an engaging and empathetic way.
- Ability to work a part effectively, respectfully and co-operatively in a team environment
