An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full-time Finance Officer to join our team in the Isaac Region. Reporting to the Manager Rates and Accounts, this position is responsible for supporting the accounting and finance functions through the timely completion of regular and various tasks including processing transactions, reconciliations, reports and undertaking specific project work and tasks as directed. The areas of primary focus include rates, accounts payable and receivable and payroll.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Well-developed administrative and numeracy skills and the capacity to maintain attention to detail.
- Whilst under general supervision, the ability to plan effectively and prioritise workload in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet multiple deadlines.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level experience in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, is required; and
- Competent in the use of accounting software.
If you are successful in this position, you will receive:
- Salary $79,607.52 (Level Three) per annum
- Nominally 36.25 hours per week
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
- RDO’s in accordance with Council Policy
- Up to 13.5% super in accordance with Council Policy
