Our client is seeking to engage a LIMS Training Delivery Manager.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Length: 12 months with option to extend up to 12 months

Statement of work:
This position will have a pivotal role in developing a laboratory training program covering diagnostic capability, quality, safety, and systems. The role will focus on training components for a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and the Training Manager will be responsible for designing, coordinating, delivering (and then improving on) the first iteration of training material to laboratory staff.
The duties of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Identify LIMS-related training needs for the laboratory staff.
- Develop a training program and material that meets program objectives, quality system requirements and diagnostic capability needs.
- Deliver training materials, including detailed instructional guides in a variety of formats, and oversee the implementation of LIMS training.
- Provide opportunities for ongoing development, resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.
- Maintain a high-level understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices.
- Work closely with the Director of Laboratory Operations and stakeholder groups within the Department to optimise their participation.
- Monitor and evaluate existing training activities and establish systems to track impact over time.
- Provide high level advice and support to the MTDT Program and Project
- Managers to ensure executive decision making is based on appropriate, accurate and timely information of training needs.
Knowledge and experience
The successful candidate will have:
- A tertiary qualification or an equivalent certification relating to training management and deployment (desirable).
- Experience in training laboratory staff on lab-based IT solutions (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience preparing training materials in a variety of formats (e.g., instructional guides, video) and successfully providing requisite skills and knowledge to trainees (mandatory)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a training role, with a demonstrated understanding of training processes and techniques
- Experience with e-learning platforms
