About the role

We have an opportunity for Line Pilot - Rotary Wing to be part of our Police Transport and Public Safety, Aviation Command team. The position of Rotary Line Pilot is to undertake the responsibility of flying single pilot, multi-engine helicopters under the Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) in safe and professional manner to support all operations of the Aviation Command and NSWPF objectives.

The successful candidates must hold the following requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 Medical;
  • Commercial Pilot Licence (H) or ATPL (H);
  • Helicopter Instrument Rating (IR H) (ME);
  • Night Vision Imaging Rating;
  • Low Level Rating – winch, sling;
  • 3000 hours PIC helicopter;
  • 1000 hours experience turbine-powered helicopter aircraft;
  • 200 hours PIC night experience;
  • Low level experience in helicopters; and
  • Reside within 100kms from the Aviation Command; Bankstown.
